City of clones...
Sadly, I have not been writing as much as I had wanted. With the boss-lady being away I have no time at work to get much, if any scribbling done and by the time I get home, I write a few sentences, eat and then can't handle much more. It's like my brain shuts off after a certain amount of output. However, there have been a few lines that have been entirely un-nanowrimo-related, including these, which are a few wholly unedited lines I scribbled on the back of a cash order after lunch.
This double,
Sitting inside a coffee shop
Laptop, espresso and sloganed tee
Oblivious-
I stand windblown in the doorway,
Coffee scents stabbing into my nose;
Wonder,
What would I have said
If it wasn't this
clone?
Oh, and in other news: I am alive.
listening to: Razor Sharp - Collide
today's project: more writing, the kitchen
eating: Froot loops
reading: Daughter of the Saints - Dorothy Allred Solomon
feeling: worn out like a favourite shirt
